Dear Parents & Students,

Greetings from the Shankar Mahadevan Academy. We are getting ready to celebrate SANGAM 2015!

It has been a great pleasure to be associated with all of you for the past few years in your musical journey! The Shankar Mahadevan Academy has been successful in its endeavor of spreading the joy of music around the globe.

To celebrate our success and achievements, we are conducting a one day SANGAM 2015 on 4th July in Bangalore, India which will be open to all the people associated with the academy.




Event Highlights

July 3 Agenda:
Venue: 143, Ground Floor, Rathna Avenue, Richmond Road, Bangalore - 560025
  1. 1) 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM - Student Rehersals (Ground floor).
  2. 2) 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM - Press meet (upstairs conf room - Shankar, Sridhar and press).
  3. 3) 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM - Knowledge sharing session for students/parents. There will be a couple of sessions conducted by the Academy senior teachers (Ground floor).
    1. a) Session 1 - Music Appreciation - Tara Kini.
    2. b) Session 2 - Interaction session.
    3. c) Session 3 - Students can share a thought on what works for you and motivates you to learn music.
  4. 4) 5:00 PM - Students disperse.
  5. 5) 5:00 PM to 5.30 PM - Sridhar session with Teachers ( upstairs main hall).
  6. 6) 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM - All teachers Mudakaratha rehearsal with Shankar ji (Ground floor).
  7. 7) 6:30 PM - Close.
  8. Please note: 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM - Lunch will be provided.
    3:00 PM to 5:00 PM - Snacks/tea/juice/milk will be provided.
July 4 Agenda:

  1. 1) 9:00 AM to 9:05 AM - Welcome note by MC.
  2. 2) 9:05 AM to 9:10 AM - Invocation by children.
  3. 3) 9:10 AM to 9:25 AM - Inauguration - Lamp lighting by Shankar ji - Invite Mr. Lobo, chief guest to address the gathering.
  4. 4) 9:30 AM to 9:40 AM - A Musical Welcome by all the SMA teachers with Shankar ji.
  5. 5) 9:40 AM to 10:10 AM - SMA Journey & Vision.
  6. 6) 10:10 AM to 10:15 AM - Social Initiative song play Laadli.
  7. 7) 10:15 AM to 10:30 AM - TEA BREAK.
  8. 8) 10:30 AM to 11.30 AM - Grow With Music Theme based program.
  9. 9) 11:30 AM to 11.45 PM - Group pic/certificates with Shankar for GWM kids.
  10. 10) 11:45 AM TO 12:30 PM - Students Performance HV, VG, HMS.
  11. 11) 12:30 PM to 1:10 PM - Lunch.
  12. 12) 1:15 PM TO 2:00 PM - Students & Teachers Performance CV.
  13. 13) 2:05 PM to 2:40 PM - Distinguised guests - Vid. Patri Satish Kumar and Vid. Giridhar Udupa will present a lec dem of Mridangam/Ghatam/konnakol.
  14. 14) 2:45 PM TO 3 PM - Chief guest speaks.
  15. 15) 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM - IL Courses student certificates/Employee Momento, award Presentation.
  16. 16) 3:45 PM to 4:15 PM - Riyaz with Shankar Mahadevan.
  17. 17) 4:15 PM to 4:20 PM - Social initiative song play Mujhse hogi shuruvaat.
  18. 18) 4:15 pm to 4:30 pm - TEA BREAK.
  19. 19) 4:30 PM to 5:15 PM - Performance by SMA Production Team.
  20. 20) 5:20 PM to 5:50 PM - Sing with Shankar - Contest winners.
  21. 21) 5:50 PM - Vote of Thanks.
  22. 22) 6:00 PM - Close.

  • You can bring maximum of 4 guests
  • No registration fee for kids with 6 years and below
  • Any new student can attend SANGAM as an attendee
  • Only students registered before June 1st may be allowed to perform at SANGAM.
  • All students of the academy will have to purchase an entry pass to SANGAM
  • Please note that the participation to this event is on your voluntary travel and accommodation expenses. The academy will not be liable for any travel/stay, travel/stay related issues, or damages arising out of the same.
  • Registration fee is non-refundable.
  • Registration is not transferrable and cannot be exchanged.
  • These terms and conditions are subject to change from time to time without notice and in our sole discretion. We will notify you of amendments to these terms and conditions by posting them to this website.
  • The Academy reserves the right to refuse or reject your entry from the event. In particular but without limitation you may be refused admission to or removed from the event for any of the following reasons: for health and safety or licensing reasons; behave in a manner which has or is likely to affect the enjoyment of other persons at the event; use threatening, abusive or insulting words or mannerisms; if, in the Academy's reasonable opinion, you are acting under the influence of alcohol or drugs; if and when required, you are unable to produce proof of identity or age; refuse to comply with the Promoter’s security searches; breach these Terms; and/or your registration is void.
